Dr. P. K. Pokker is the Former Director of Keralabhasha Institute, Thiruvananthapuram and is now Professor of Philosophy at the University of Calicut, Kerala, India. He has 14 years teaching experience in Govt. College and 13 years teaching and Research experience in the University post graduate department. He has produced about a dozen M.Phil scholars and Ph.Ds. There are about forty research articles and a good number of News paper- News weekly articles at his credit. He has participated in many national and international seminars in India and abroad and presented papers. He edited 10 volumes of Calicut University Research Journals in Humanities and at present editing a Malayalam journal by E.M.S. Chair. He is a member of Thunjan Memorial Trust, Tirur and was member of Kerala Sahitya Academy. He got Thayat Sankaran Award for Literary criticism in 1997
